Strong Bible Based Preaching

Bible Based Preaching

We believe scripture is the perfect and flawless word of God. Our worship, our small groups and all of our individual ministries rely on the Bible to guide and to lead us. Most importantly, the Bible is the source of all our sermons, ensuring the word of God is heard and the gospel message is given. At Grace Church, we are diligent in ensuring scripture will always be the basis of what we do!

Dynamic Youth Ministry

ROCK Junior High Youth Group (Grades 6-8)

Meets Thursdays (September - May), 7pm - 8:30pm at Grace Church

REFUGE High School Youth Group (Grades 9-12)

Meets Wednesdays (September - May), 7pm - 9pm at Grace Church

Grace Church has experienced many years of thriving youth ministry through our ROCK and REFUGE groups and we are excited to see the different ways these programs continue to grow and develop.

We strongly believe in the importance of caring for and investing in the lives of the students who walk through our doors. This means, we make every effort to help students grow in their understanding of Jesus, in making wise choices when facing difficult circumstances and in being a good friend. We strongly believe students should have a safe, comfortable and fun place to explore a faith in Jesus - whether that means they’re encountering Jesus for the first time or strengthening an existing faith.

How do we do this? In several ways.

We have fun.

We play games. We laugh. And we make some pretty great memories while doing so.

We teach the Bible.

We believe the greatest resource available to us is the truth found in the Bible. We encourage students to learn how to use this resource and apply it to their everyday lives through a weekly Bible teaching and small groups.

We have small groups.

Small groups are a great way to respond to the night’s Bible teaching, to get tough questions answered, to wrestle with the difficulties of life, to find some encouragement and simply to learn how to be a good friend -- all while dialoguing with an adult leader and student peers.

We have a trustworthy leadership team.

Renae Kooy currently serves as the Grace Church Youth Director. She, along with a team of adult volunteer leaders, are passionate about ensuring your student is safe and has a space to grow in their understanding of the Christian faith. Every adult leader goes through a background screening process. We also strive to keep parents as involved as possible. Parents are always welcome to join a Wednesday or Thursday evening for a better understanding of how we operate.

Embracing The Community

We love our community - it’s as simple as that. This love stirs a desire to see Lansing and surrounding neighborhoods thrive as diverse communities. We strive to be a church which honors the Lord - which means we take treating our neighbors with love and respect seriously. This is reflected in the programs we organize throughout the year for our neighbors to enjoy, our involvement with local schools and beyond.

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Luke 10:27)

Supporting Missions

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

Living in a beautifully diverse community like Lansing, sometimes the nations are outside our backdoor. But sometimes this means sending faithful and passionate men and women to other parts of the world to proclaim the message of our Mighty God.

Grace Church has a legacy of sending these men and women through our support of local and foreign missionaries. We take great joy in helping the message of God’s salvation travel throughout the world through various individuals and mission agencies.
